Gerolakos-Villas is a complex of traditional, stone and wood built villas located at the centre of the Mediterranean island of Crete, Greece. The exact location is very close (about 10 km) to the town of Rethymno - the town that lies at the centre of the island & has the longest coastline in the whole Europe.
The Villas are within walking distance from the beach (about 500m), super markets, shops, taverns and local transportation. We are open all round the year and some of the offered features are:

You will be able to take part in various farming and agricultural activities like collecting olive oils, organic vegetables, chicken eggs, producing goat's milk and even learn how to make your own traditional Cretan cheese.
The villas
Gerolakos-Villas is a family owned business that is why we do our best to provide high quality services and a warm and safe environment for you and your family.
Standard features include:

All villas have an area of about 60-70 sqm and are built in the same style, but each one has its own individual character and it is named after one of our beloved persons.
Villa Pheelia
Named after our grandmother, are the smallest but also the cutest of the villas. Carefully decorated in a traditional Cretan manner, reveals its mesmerising beauty.
It consists of: 1 bedroom, 1 living room, 2 penthouses (bedrooms), and 2 verandas.
Accommodates comfortably up to 6 persons.
Villa Stelios
Named after our father who used to enjoy for endless hours its excellent, refreshing & romantic view. Spacious & functional invites the quest to relax and loosen up.
It consists of: 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor, 1 large veranda, 1 large living room and balcony.
Accommodates comfortably up to 4 persons
Villa Daskalos
Named after our grandfather who was a teacher (= daskalos in greek) and travel writer. This is the biggest villa, having a very spacious veranda for those who like to watch the moon at night and all those young and senior barbeque fans.
It consists of: 1 bedroom, 1 penthouse (bedrooms), 1 living room, 1 large veranta and balcony.
Accommodates comfortably up to 6 persons
How to get There:
Gerolakos Villas are about 10 km away from the town and port of Rethymno (10-15 minutes by car, taxi, etc).
By Airplane
Chania & Heraklion international airports are about 1 hour away (70-80 km) and they serve domestic and international flights. Regular coach service and taxi connect Rethymno with both airports (typical taxi fare from airports to Gerolakos Vilas is 45-50 Euros).
There are regular flights from Athens to Crete (Chania & Heraklion) and the flight duration is 45 minutes. There are also many charter flights from the whole Europe to Crete directly or via Athens.
By Ferry/Boat
There is a daily ferry/boat service from Athens (Piraeus) to Rethymno, Chania & Heraklion, which lasts about 8-10 hours.
Once you arrive in Rethymno the best way to move around is by taxi (they are relatively cheap in Crete) or by renting a car or motorbike (we can arrange that for you, if you like).
Typical taxi fare from Rethymno town (bus station, town center, etc) to Gerolakos Villas would be about 10 Euros.
