Location - Katalagari
The striking village of Katalagari, exuding natural beauty and bursting with cultural and archaeological treasures, is located in the Municipality of N.Kazantzakis, which belongs to the Prefecture of Iraklion.
Situated a mere 16kms from Iraklion, accessed by the Iraklion-Arkalohori highway, and is perched amphitheatrically at an altitude of 560m on the picturesque eastern hillside of “Katalagariani Kefala”.
The panoramic view is of supreme beauty: to the north, the charming and seductive Cretan blue sea; to the east, the proud mountains of Lasithi, Dichti and Vianou with their imposing presence and overwhelming medieval and modern history.
But the ultimate beauty of the Cretan landscape is Imeri Kilada, Peaceful Valley, as the people of Katalagari like to call it.
According to popular tradition, the settlement of this valley is said to date back to the early Christian years, and this view is corroborated by various monuments and written testimonies on Katalagari.
Directly above the current location of the village, on the Kefala slope, is the water source named Flega, which irrigates the village.

The complex consists of 4 buildings, with a total capacity of 14 apartments, all with amazing views to Dichti Mountain and the ultimate beauty of Peza valley full of olive trees and vineyards.

The Suites
· Five ground floor open plan suites of 55-60 sq.m each, with one double or twin bedroom area, fully equipped kitchen* combined with dining / sitting area, two sofa beds, wc, bathroom with Jacuzzi. Four of these also have a washing machine and a private terrace.
· One first floor family suite of 80 sq.m. with one double and one twin bedroom sharing the same bathroom with Jacuzzi and washing machine, third double bedroom on the mezzanine floor with shower, fully equipped kitchen* combined with dining & sitting area, fireplace and 40 sq.m. balcony.
· One first floor suite of 50 sq.m. consisting of one double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen*, dining & sitting area, fireplace, bathroom with Jacuzzi and balcony.
· Five open plan suites of 50 sq.m., on the first floor, with one double or twin bedroom area, fully equipped kitchen* combined with dining & sitting area, fireplace, one sofa bed, bathroom with Jacuzzi and balcony.
· One first floor studio of 45 sq.m. with one double bedroom area, fully equipped kitchen* combined with dining & sitting area, with a sofa bed, bathroom with Jacuzzi and large picture window.
· One first floor suite of 50 sq.m. A spacious open plan suite built on 2 levels.
The first level consists of fully equipped kitchen* combined with dining & sitting area with two sofa beds, fireplace, bathroom with Jacuzzi and large balcony.
On the second level, which is like a mezzanine floor, the double bedroom is nestled.
All kitchens consist of the following:
Electric cooker with oven and 4 rings, filter coffee machine, fridge, and all cooking accessories (plates, glasses, casseroles etc).

Meals can be prepared and served on request in the property. 200m away, in Katalagari village you can find a tavern with local specialties and many more restaurants/taverns are found at a distance of 2 km, in Archanes village.
