Aphrodite Beach Club is a spacious complex situated at the beach of Gouves. A large Cretan family, that tries to show to its guests the Cretan tradition, runs it and what Crete is all about. The village of Gouves offers a wide variety of shops, traditional restaurants and bars.
Ideal resort, centrally situated on the island for all those who want to get to know Crete either by a renting a car, or by bus. The hotel is located 18km out of Heraklion and only 7km away from Chersonissos a town known for its nightlife.
The hotel was built in 1979, and was extensively renovated in 1998. The complex consists of four buildings, which are Aphrodite, Apolon, Ermis and Athina. It is ideal for all ages, both for people looking for privacy and a quiet, relaxing stay, as well as for people looking for a fast paced vacation.
Beautiful gardens and palm trees, thus offering an enjoyable environment to our guests, surround the hotel.
All rooms have a bathroom, balcony, direct dial telephone, radio, hairdryer and air - conditioning. Most rooms have a direct sea view, while others look at the gardens or the pool.
All rooms are equipped combining comfort and style. Refrigerators are available on request at an extra charge.
The main building houses the reception, the main bar, comfortable sitting areas with a fire place and satellite TV, the dinning room, a traditional Greek restaurant called the Taverna, soundproof discotheque, a fitness studio, saunas, a conference hall, a play room with pool and table tennis tables, two outdoor pool bars, a traditional kafenion, and a super market.
A team of professional antimatters offers an activities program for all our guests. Children can spend their time in our playground, or in the supervised mini club, socializing and playing with other children.
On our large terrace there is a big seawater swimming pool connected with a children pool as well as an indoor swimming pool (heated if required).
There is a mini golf, a bowling center with six lanes, three tennis courts, a basketball court combined with tennis court, a mini football field (calcetto), a beach volleyball field and a badminton court available for our guests that enjoy sports activities and exercise.
Our various water sport activities, such as water ski, wind surfing, canoeing, and more, as well as scuba diving lessons are offered by the licensed scuba diving center that the hotel houses.
Our Food and Beverage Department offers great quality of food and services. Using only all natural and organic Greek products and foods, we prepare everything daily, whether that is the traditional Greek food served in the dining room, or the bread and sweets that are baked in our bakery, we try to provide the best in quality and taste. The dining room, which has a sitting capacity of over 500 people, serves buffet style for all the meals. We promote the Greek cuisine, because it combines exceptional taste and a healthy diet.
